
Communication
You can create maximal 8 terminal emulator windows. Each terminal window can have it's own settings.
The following description is for all terminal windows.

Port |
The communication port. |
Baud rate |
The baud rate to use. |
Parity |
Parity, default None. |
Data bits |
Number of data bits, default 8. |
Stop bits |
Number of stop bits, default 1. |
Handshake |
The handshake used, default is none. |
Emulation |
Emulation to use, default none. |
Font |
Font type used by the emulator. |
Background |
Background color of the terminal emulator. It is a good idea to give every window a different background color for easy identification. |
Auto Assign |
When selected, the terminal will use the first free COM port. |
Auto Open |
When selected, the terminal will automatic open the COM port. |
Log File |
When selected, a log file is created. |
Existing Ports only |
This option will check the COM ports on your system that are usable. If your PC has only 1 COM port, the PORT setting will only show COM1. If you do not select this option, the PORT setting will show COM port numbers from 1-255. |
