With this option, you save the current file to disk under the same file name.

The file name is visible in the Windows caption of the edit window.

 

If you want to give the file a new name, you can use the File, Save As option.

The file is saved as an ASCII file.

 

Under the directory where the file is located you will find a HISTORY directory. In this directory a backup of the files is made before it is saved.

The file will have a suffix of ~yyyymmdd hhnnss.hst

Where yyyy is the year, mm is the month, dd is the day and hh the hour, nn the minutes and ss are the seconds of the time the file was saved.

A file named flow.bas will be saved under the name flow.bas~20100401010000.hst at 1 April, 2010 , 1 am.
